We all have dreams of what we would like our future to look like. Whether it is a dream of having a family, a successful career, or becoming a rockstar. No matter what that dream is, it takes work to live out that dream. There are many roads we will travel down in our lifetime, and some of those roads will be smooth and beautiful while others will be rough and bumpy. What we have to remember is that no matter what, that road is leading us to something else.
As Steve Jobs says, “believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart, even when it leads you off the well worn path.” During those rough and bumpy moments in our life, we need to remember not to get discouraged. To take a moment and remember why we are on this road in the first place. To remember when we are on that smooth beautiful path, to look back and cherish those “growing” moments. The most important thing to have, when chasing after your dream, is BELIEF. Belief in yourself and belief that at the end of all the ups and downs, you will come out on top.
Without dreams, we have no reason to take a chance on that bumpy path. We have no reason to go through trying moments if we ultimately do not believe we will in the end accomplish what we are after. But if you have the dream and the belief that you can accomplish that dream, the ride whether bumpy or smooth, is always worth it!
