It seems like everywhere we turn there is talk about the future. Future goals. Future plans. Future ideas. Future. Future. Future! We hear it from friends, family, co-workers and even our government.
We are so concerned about our future that we forget to think about what we are doing now to get us there. Now don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with planning ahead; we all need goals and dreams to chase after, but we must not forget about today. It takes all of those todays to get us to the tomorrows.
So what are you doing today, to better your tomorrow?
What are you doing right this moment to help you get to where you want to be in a month, a year or even 10 years? I want to challenge you this week, and even for the month of September to start each day by writing down 1 thing you would like to accomplish for that day. It can be something as simple as going to your son or daughter’s soccer game. But get into a routine of writing down what you want to do. When we write things down and have them on paper, we hold ourselves more accountable for them. Plus it will get you into the habit of writing down and focusing on what is important. You will have your priorities in order and will begin chopping down at your long term goals and dreams.
Nothing happens overnight. We are not able to change something in one day. But we are able to plant the seeds and the foundation to set ourselves up to succeed.
Start today to better your tomorrow!
